What is a French Macaron?
One of the most common questions I get: What are French macaroons? It is a sweet meringue-based confection made with egg white, icing sugar, granulated sugar, almond meal, and coloring. The macaron is traditionally held to have been introduced in France by the Italian chef of queen Catherine de Medici during the Renaissance. It is gluten-free and lower in fat then most cookies. French Macarons are Naturally Gluten-Free!
